My Scans

Last updated October 2026

My Scans identifies singles from a photo or upload. Confirmed matches go into My Binder. Nothing is added to inventory until you confirm a row. Recognition is a suggestion. You still pick the catalog card, condition, and foil.

Start a session

  1. Open My Scans and start a session. Choose a game (Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Magic, Pokémon, or Riftbound) so matching stays in that catalog.
  2. Choose camera or file upload, and front-only or front-and-back photos. After a photo, review the crop. Use Adjust to drag any edge or corner if the suggestion is off. Use Brightness if the photo is too dark or bright.
  3. Optionally set Box / Batch, a location note, and a default acquired price. Those apply to cards you confirm in this session. See box & batch tracking.

Review and confirm

Each scan shows catalog candidates. Check the match, condition, finish, quantity, and prices. For Magic, choose the printing. Hover a thumbnail to enlarge it. Then choose Normal, Foil, or Etched when that print has more than one finish. List price starts empty. Click Use Listing, Use Market, or Suggested market to fill a price when those numbers exist. Suggested market is a catalog guide for the printing and condition. It is not a Binder listing or sale. Changing condition refreshes the suggested amount. Changing finish refreshes the hints. It does not overwrite an amount you typed. Each candidate includes shop, TCGplayer, ManaPool, CardTrader, and eBay sold links (new tab). For Riftbound, promo and metal printings are usually listed below the set version and marked with a Promo or Metal label. Prefer the set printing unless you are sure the card is a promo or metal. If the suggestion is wrong, pick a different catalog card. Use Search catalog to pick by name. After four characters, matching names appear below. You can type names without accents. Type cardtext: then words to search rules text. Skip unclear rows instead of guessing.

Confirm sends the row into the folder you choose under Save confirmed scans to. That folder choice stays remembered on this browser until you change it. You can keep scanning in the same session. Confirmed cards stay in My Binder, not as a live listing, until you move them to For Sale. Saving directly to For Sale lists them on the marketplace when you confirm.

If For Sale already has the same printing, finish, and condition at a list price more than 5 cents away, confirm asks whether to Merge listings or Split into new listing. Merge adds the copy to the lowest existing price. The merged list price defaults to what you entered. You can change it. Split creates a second listing. The scan is not saved until you choose.

What My Scans is not for

  • Graded slabs: Use Add graded on a folder in My Binder, not My Scans.
  • Sealed products and accessories: Use Product inventory.
