Box & batch tracking
Last updated July 2026
Box / batch codes are optional labels for where cards live in the real world. For example, box A1 and intake batch 003 written as A1003. They help you find stock after large scan sessions and speed up seller order picking. Open the Batches page from your account menu or quick links to see every code you have used.
The Batches page
Batches lists all batch codes on your account, sorted by recent activity. Each row shows:
- Batch: the code. Click it to open My Binder filtered to that batch.
- Cards: total units allocated to that batch (copies, not unique catalog lines).
- Location: your optional location note for that batch.
- Last activity: the most recent scan upload or inventory change tied to the batch.
Use the Game filter to show only batches that currently hold cards for a selected catalog game. Pagination keeps long histories manageable.
Rename and delete
Rename updates the batch code and/or location note on the label. Inventory rows keep their quantities. Only the code and note change. If you already have another batch with the target code, rename is blocked.
Delete batch removes the batch label only. Card quantities stay in your inventory. Units that were in that batch become unassigned (no batch location). Use this when you dissolve an old box name but keep the cards. To move stock to a different code without losing location tracking, use Change batch… in My Binder instead. See Using My Binder.
Batch codes use letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens (up to 32 characters).
My Scans session bar
On My Scans, set Box / Batch and optional Location note on the scan session bar before you upload. Every scan you confirm while those fields are set counts toward that batch. Leave the box code blank if you are not tracking location for that session.
Game on the session bar scopes catalog matching and remembers your last batch per game. When you switch games, the bar can show the last batch you used for that game, with a link to filtered My Binder.
Existing batch warning. If you type a code that already exists, an amber notice shows how many cards are already in that batch and confirms that new confirms will be added to it. That is intentional when you continue scanning into the same physical box. If you meant the next code in sequence (for example A1004 after A1003), use the suggested-next link when offered.
Suggested next. After you use a numbered code, the session may offer the next code in the same pattern so you do not accidentally reuse yesterday's batch.
My Binder and picking
Each inventory row shows batch locations in a summary line. Open View batches when quantity is split across multiple boxes. Unassigned means no batch was recorded when those copies were added.
From My Binder you can filter by batch in Advanced search, bulk Change batch…, or Assign batch… for unassigned quantity. Those workflows are documented in Using My Binder (Box / Batch locations).
Sellers: checkout snapshots batch codes onto pick lists. Accurate batches make fulfillment faster. See Packaging and shipment standards.
