Returns and refunds policy

Last updated September 2026

This page is a plain-language summary for buyers and sellers. It is not personalized legal advice. Binder to Market may update these practices as the product evolves.

Overview

Binder to Market is a marketplace. Independent sellers fulfill orders. Buyers pay through Binder to Market checkout. Refunds generally return money to the buyer's original payment method. After approval, timing follows bank and card network norms. That is often a few business days.

Before shipment

Sellers must buy an in-app USPS label within three business days (Monday–Friday) after checkout. See the shipping policy. If they have not bought a label by that deadline, you may cancel that seller's unshipped portion. The platform can change this deadline. A short post-checkout cancel window may also exist. After that window closes, cancel stays locked until the unshipped deadline so the seller can pack.

If a seller cannot fulfill their portion before shipping, or the buyer cancels while cancel is available, Binder to Market refunds the buyer for the affected items and proportional shipping and tax. Those amounts appear in Refunds & adjustments on your order, alongside post-shipment refund requests. Payment at checkout does not change. It stays as the original charge.

Sellers: Inventory handling depends on who cancelled. When a buyer cancels your slice before you ship, quantities for those cards are typically returned to your For Sale inventory so buyers can purchase them again. When you mark that you cannot fulfill before shipment, Binder to Market refunds the buyer and clears matching marketplace listings for those lines. It does not restore the exact sold quantity. If you still want to sell those cards, re-list from My Binder. Mystery gift lines are handled separately.

See Pre-shipment cancellations (sellers) for a concise summary aimed at sellers.

After shipment: refund requests

Once an order has shipped, buyers may open a refund request for a seller slice. Typical reasons include non-delivery aligned with tracking, condition mismatches, or missing quantity. The thread is both a message thread and a record of refunds.

Buyer's remorse is not a platform right. Refund requests are for seller-fault or shipping problems (wrong condition, missing items, non-delivery). They are not for a change of mind after you received what you ordered. The platform rule is the same for every seller, like marketplace shipping rates. Sellers do not set their own return window.

Sellers choose a resolution on the dispute: refund only, require a physical return, replacement (with return of the defective item), or, for missing items on higher-value slices, ship the missing item. Platform EasyPost return and remship labels are only offered when that seller's merchandise slice meets a platform minimum. The default is $25. The platform can change that minimum. Below that threshold, use refund only.

For eligible return or replacement cases, the seller releases a return label offer. The buyer must print it before postage is purchased. The seller is charged via Connect at that point. Remship labels are purchased by the seller and charged immediately. A full slice refund stays locked until a required return is received or waived. Partial refunds may still be issued while the dispute is open. Non-delivery and missing-item disputes do not use a physical return path. Missing items may remship above the minimum.

Buyers can withdraw a dispute only before any dispute-route refunds are recorded. After refunds begin, buyers may mark the dispute resolved when they are satisfied and no longer want to pursue refunds through that thread.

Step-by-step UI guidance lives in our help articles: buyers, sellers.

How totals display

Payment at checkout shows the subtotal, shipping, tax, and total from when the order was placed. It does not change after partial cancellations or refunds. Money returned to your card, including pre-shipment slice cancellations and post-shipment refund requests, is listed under Refunds & adjustments. That section has a running total and an estimated net so you can match it to your statement.

Evidence and good faith

Buyers should upload clear photos when the dispute type requires them (for example condition claims). Everyone is expected to participate honestly. Abuse of refunds or disputes may lead to account restrictions.
