Privacy policy

Last updated October 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Binder to Market LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Binder to Market ("Binder to Market," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use bindertomarket.com and related services (the "Service").

It is a notice of our practices. Our Terms of Service is the contract for using the Service. We do not publish our EIN or tax identifiers on this site.

Who we are

Binder to Market LLC is the controller of personal information described here. The exception is when we process data solely as a seller's instruction to a third-party marketplace (for example, listing data you choose to send to eBay or ManaPool).

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information from your use of the Service, and information from processors and partners who help us run the marketplace.

Account and profile

  • Email address, password (stored hashed when you use email signup), and display name
  • Optional first and last name (from social login or Profile). This is not your public display name
  • A small profile photo you upload (stored as a compressed image; shown on your account menu and on your For sale listings)
  • Authentication identifiers from social login when you use it (Google or Facebook), including an email from the provider when they share one
  • Seller onboarding status, listing limits, vacation mode, and similar account flags

Addresses and orders

  • United States shipping and billing addresses, including military APO / FPO / DPO. We may send addresses to EasyPost to verify deliverability and to buy shipping labels
  • Items purchased or sold, totals, tax and shipping splits, tracking, dispute threads, and refund records

Payments

We use Stripe (including Stripe Checkout, Stripe Tax, and Stripe Connect for seller payouts) to process payments. We typically receive tokens, payout status, and metadata rather than storing full card numbers on Binder to Market servers. Stripe's use of payment data is described in Stripe's own privacy notice. Recovery amounts we cannot reverse from a seller's Connect balance may be stored as a shortfall we collect from later payouts.

Binder, scans, and listings

  • Collection folders, quantities, prices, CSV imports and exports, and listing notes
  • Photos you upload or capture for scans, including crops, OCR text, embeddings used to suggest catalog matches, and confirmations into inventory
  • Listing images. If you opt a copy into eBay or another connected channel, we may send those images and listing details to that channel

Support and disputes

Messages you send to support, and content you post in buyer and seller dispute threads (including text and photos). These threads are not private end-to-end channels between buyer and seller. Authorized Binder to Market personnel may review dispute threads, attachments, and related order context for trust and safety, fraud prevention, policy enforcement, and resolution. That includes posting in the same shared thread when we intervene under our refunds process.

Marketplace channels

If you connect eBay, we store OAuth tokens and an eBay user id so we can list and ingest sales. If you connect ManaPool, we store the credentials needed to list and poll that seller account. We receive order and ship-to details from those channels as needed to decrement inventory and, for eligible platform-store flows, to fulfill.

Technical data

  • IP address, browser and device signals, and server logs (including errors and security events)
  • Session cookies and similar storage needed to keep you signed in or remember preferences
  • Access tokens stored in the browser after you sign in (used to call our API). Treat your device as you would any logged-in session
  • First-party analytics described under Cookies

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and secure accounts, including social login and password resets
  • Personalize transactional email and opted-in marketing email (for example, a first name greeting)
  • Operate the shop, binder, scans, checkout, shipping labels, payouts, and customer support
  • Calculate tax, prevent fraud, enforce policies, and investigate disputes
  • Send transactional email (orders, shipping, security). Marketing email only if you opt in or as allowed by law
  • Improve reliability (including Core Web Vitals and error diagnosis)
  • Comply with law, accounting, tax, and lawful requests

We process this information because it is needed to perform the contract (your use of the Service), to comply with law, and for our legitimate interests in running a safe marketplace. Where required, we also process with your consent.

How we share information

We share information with:

  • Other users as needed to complete a sale. For example, a seller sees the ship-to address for an order. Buyers and sellers see display names, listing content, and dispute messages. We do not put your login email or first and last name on listings. Postage uses the Name on labels you set on each address
  • Service providers who process data on our instructions, including Stripe, EasyPost, hosting and object storage (such as DigitalOcean and Cloudflare R2), email delivery (such as Resend or Brevo), and catalog data providers
  • Identity providers such as Google or Facebook when you choose social login
  • eBay and ManaPool when you connect those accounts and opt listings into those channels, at your direction as a seller
  • Professional advisors, successors, or parties to a merger or sale of the business, under confidentiality where appropriate
  • Authorities or other parties when we believe disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect users or the Service, or to enforce our agreements

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use third-party advertising pixels (such as Meta or Google Ads) on the shop.

Cookies, analytics, and local storage

Binder to Market uses cookies or similar storage for sessions, security, and preferences. Control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may break login.

We also run a self-hosted, cookieless analytics script on a first-party host (analytics.bindertomarket.com). It records shop, checkout, order, help, and seller-order pageviews, plus named events (signup, add to cart, checkout, abandoned cart, purchase, dispute actions, buying a shipping label, opening the binder, completing a binder import, exporting a binder CSV, starting a scan session, and confirming a scan). It also collects Core Web Vitals (page load and interaction timing) from browsers where the script runs. Signed-in visits are associated with an internal numeric user id only. We do not associate them with email, SKU, price, or dispute reason. Binder and scans are not recorded as pageviews. Platform admin and other seller-hub tools are not recorded as pageviews or named events. The dashboard is for Binder to Market operators. Shop visitors do not need an analytics cookie banner for this tracker under typical U.S. advertising-cookie rules.

Social logins

If you sign in with Google or Facebook, that provider authenticates you and may share your name, email, and a provider account id with us. We do not receive your provider password. Your use of the provider is also governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. To close your account or delete that data, email us as described under Your choices and rights.

Retention

We keep personal information as long as your account is open and as needed for the purposes above. Transaction, tax, and dispute records are typically kept for at least seven years or as required by law, then deleted or de-identified according to our schedules. Scan images and embeddings are kept until you delete them or close your account, subject to legal holds and backups.

When eBay notifies us that an eBay account was closed or deleted (Marketplace Account Deletion), we disconnect eBay on Binder to Market and delete those tokens and the stored eBay user id. Your Binder to Market account, inventory, and Binder shop orders are not deleted by that notice. You can connect a different eBay account later.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect personal information (including hashed passwords, access controls, and encrypted connections). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for the strength of your password and for keeping your devices and login session under your control.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it. You must be 18 to create an account and use checkout or selling, as stated in the Terms of Service.

Where we process data

Checkout and seller ship-from support United States addresses only, including military APO / FPO / DPO. You may access the site from other countries, but saved shipping addresses and payouts still follow US-only rules. Personal information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may not have the same privacy laws as your home country. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to the United States.

Your choices and rights

  • Update profile fields (including first and last name), addresses, and display name in account settings where available.
  • Disconnect eBay or ManaPool in seller settings when those tools are enabled for you.
  • Delete scan jobs or inventory in the product where those controls exist.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message (transactional mail will still send).
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, or an account close, by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and we may retain information as required by law or for disputes.

If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision at the same address. You may also contact your state attorney general or, if you are in the EEA/UK, a data protection authority.

United States state privacy rights

Residents of California and certain other states may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights.

We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly used, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Connecting eBay or ManaPool sends listing and related data at your direction as a seller, not as our sale of your information.

Categories we collect are listed above (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, approximate location from IP, photos you upload, and inferences limited to fraud/trust signals such as internal strikes). We use them for the purposes listed above. We collect them from you, from your device, from payment and shipping processors, and from marketplaces you connect.

To exercise rights, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request" and enough detail to identify your account. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

California residents may also request a list of categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for the third parties' direct marketing in the prior calendar year (Shine the Light). We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing in that way.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We do not currently change server logging in response to DNT. We do not run third-party advertising pixels. If we add such tools, we will update this policy and honor GPC where the law requires.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect the Service, the law, or our practices. We will post the revised policy and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be announced by email or an in-product notice. If the law requires consent for a new use, we will ask for it.
