Packaging supplies: Economy $0.30, Standard $0.50 (added at checkout when postage applies). When you pay packaging, that amount is paid out to the seller for that seller's slice. On free-shipping orders, packaging is waived along with postage. The seller is not paid a packaging fee for that slice. Sealed and graded slices are Standard (tracked) only. Economy is not offered.
Economy shipping
Economy max slice subtotal: $20.00. Economy is not offered at checkout when your subtotal from a single seller is at or above this amount, or when the slice includes sealed products or graded cards. Standard shipping remains available. Multi-seller carts are evaluated per seller separately.
Free shipping
When your subtotal from a single seller is $50.00 or more, economy and standard shipping from that seller are free. Postage and packaging are both waived for that seller's slice. There is no packaging payout to the seller on qualifying free-shipping orders. Multi-seller carts are evaluated per seller separately.
How shipping is paid
At checkout you pay published postage plus packaging for each seller slice when shipping is not free. When the seller ships, Binder to Market purchases the USPS label on the platform's account on their behalf; the actual label cost is deducted from the seller's payout. Packaging fees are only paid to the seller when you paid them at checkout. Free shipping waives both postage and packaging, so the seller receives no packaging reimbursement on those slices.
Example: Seller A (free shipping slice)
Same checkout, two sellers. You buy 12 cards from Seller A for $55.00 (at or above the $50.00 free-shipping threshold) and choose Standard shipping.
- Your shipping charge for Seller A: $0.00 (postage and packaging waived; you pay neither)
- Your pre-tax total for this slice: $55.00 plus applicable sales tax
- Seller A receives no packaging payout for this slice because you were not charged packaging.
- When Seller A ships, the platform buys the label; the label cost is deducted from Seller A's payout.
Example: Seller B (Economy slice, not free shipping)
In the same cart you also buy 6 cards from Seller B for $15.00 (below the free-shipping threshold and eligible for Economy). You choose Economy shipping (letter band).
- Postage $1.07 + packaging $0.30 = shipping $1.37
- Your pre-tax total for this slice: $16.37 plus applicable sales tax
- When Seller B ships, the platform buys the label; the label cost is deducted from Seller B's payout. The packaging fee you paid is included in Seller B's earnings for this slice.
Tax is calculated on your full checkout. Totals above omit tax for clarity.
