Pre-shipment cancellations (sellers)
Last updated September 2026
Until you buy an in-app USPS label on the seller order, payouts for your slice are not released. You must buy that label within three business days (Monday–Friday) after checkout. If you still have not, the buyer can cancel. What happens to your inventory depends on who cancelled.
Buyer cancels your slice before you ship
The buyer is refunded for that slice (items, your shipping share on the order, and a proportional share of tax). Binder to Market typically puts those card quantities back on your For Sale inventory. That is the same item identity (SKU, condition, foil, price alignment) the buyer purchased, so eligible listings can show again for other buyers.
You'll get an email notification when this happens. Your order detail reflects the reduced slice. The buyer's order page keeps an unchanged checkout snapshot plus the refund line.
If the buyer cancels after the three-business-day unshipped deadline (you never shipped and never bought an in-app label), that cancel may add an internal seller strike. See reviews, strikes, and account trust.
You cannot fulfill before shipment
When you use the cannot-fulfill flow before shipping, the buyer is refunded on the same basis. Binder to Market does not restore inventory the way a buyer cancel does. Matching marketplace rows for those ordered lines are removed or reduced instead of being treated as sold stock returned. If you still want to sell those cards, add or adjust listings from My Binder.
Promotional / mystery gift lines may follow different inventory handling.
What buyers see
On Orders, buyers see Payment at checkout (unchanged) and Refunds & adjustments. For slices cancelled before shipment, they also see a replay of the original line items so the receipt is easier to understand.
