Reviews, strikes, and account trust

Last updated September 2026

Binder to Market uses public seller reviews so buyers can see real feedback. An internal strike system helps our team spot abuse. Strikes are not shown on listings. Only star ratings and review text are public.

Buyer reviews

After a purchase, you may rate a seller (1–5 stars) with an optional comment when:

  • The seller shipped your portion, or
  • The seller cancelled before shipping, or
  • The seller never bought an in-app label by the unshipped deadline (three business days by default).

Reviews appear as Verified buyer. We do not show your name or email on public review pages.

After you submit a review, you may edit the star rating and comment together for 1 hour from that first submit. When the hour ends, both lock. You cannot change them through the order page. Contact support if you made a clear mistake after the window closes.

An open refund request for a seller pauses new reviews for that portion until the request is withdrawn or resolved. Ask about shipping does not block reviews.

Before shipment: ask the seller

If your order has not shipped, use Ask about shipping on your order page to message the seller. That is not a refund request. To receive a refund before shipment, cancel that seller's portion when cancel is available. You will be asked why.

If the seller has not bought an in-app label by the unshipped deadline (three business days, Monday–Friday), you can cancel that slice. A short post-checkout cancel window may also exist. After it closes, cancel stays locked until that deadline so the seller can pack. Cancelling for seller-related reasons (unresponsive seller, wrong listing, missed ship-by) does not count against you the same way as buyer-remorse cancels during an enabled grace window. Cancels after the unshipped deadline may add strikes on the seller instead.

After shipment: refund requests

Once a seller ships, you can open a refund request if something went wrong. See order refunds and post-shipment requests.

Strikes (internal)

Strike points are internal trust signals. Examples that may add strikes:

  • Buyer cancels for buyer-remorse reasons during the grace window (changed mind, found elsewhere, etc.)
  • Seller cancels before shipping (cannot fulfill)
  • Buyer cancels after the unshipped shipping deadline because the seller never shipped or bought a label
  • Low star review (at or below our threshold)
  • Full refund on a post-shipment dispute resolved against the seller
  • Connect recovery shortfall (platform could not claw back a buyer refund from the seller). These carry heavier strike weight because money was lost.

Strikes expire after a rolling window (typically 90 days). Accumulating many points flags the account for human review on our platform tools.

Automatic account pause

If an account earns 10 or more strike points within 24 hours (configurable by the platform), selling and/or checkout may be automatically paused until our team reviews the activity. This protects buyers and sellers when no one is online to intervene.

Pauses are lifted after investigation. Contact support if you believe a pause was made in error.

Sellers: your ratings and trust

Sellers can open Ratings & trust in the Seller Hub to see their public star average, review histogram, buyer review text (with links to related orders), and a private strike / recovery summary. Other users never see your strike total. Only stars and reviews appear on listings.

Reporting a buyer

Sellers may use Report buyer on a seller order when there is abusive behavior, feedback extortion, bad-faith dispute misuse, or another serious issue. Reports go to our platform review queue. They do not create a public buyer rating score, and they do not automatically add strike points. Our team reviews each report and may take further action when warranted.
